The Lord's Prayer

Jesus' followers only ever asked him to teach them one thing. To pray. They saw and heard how Jesus prayed and realised something was different. And so they asked him, "Teach us to pray." For many of us we struggle to pray. Often it may feel like our prayers are worthless. For Jesus prayer was right at the heart of a close relationship with God. Join us as we learn to pray like Jesus.
"When we pray we enter the real world, the substance of the kingdom, and our bodies and souls begin to function for the first time as they were created to function." - Dallas Willard

"A kingdom-of-heaven life consists of things to do and ways to think, but if there is no prayer at the centre nothing lives. Prayer is the heart that pumps blood into all the words and acts."

We all value good character, but in our society we are often encouraged to pursue fulfillment & success over character. As followers of Jesus we want our character to reflect His character.
Everyone sees our character in how we handle mistakes, respond to difficulties and treat others. The question is "Is your character changing?" This series is not about making you a little bit better, it's about transformation, it's about how to become more like Jesus and reflect God's character to others. |
