Part 1: The call to follow
2014 is going to bring challenges. Maybe you've even set some of them yourself. The biggest challenge of all, though, comes from Jesus: He calls us to follow Him on the biggest adventure ever. The Challenge begins with an invitation...

Part 2: What needs to change?
So if you've made resolutions this year, what did you resolve to change? How many things did you resolve to change? It's easy to make many resolutions and then fail to meet any of them.
The question you need to ask is: what one thing does God want to change in me or through me? |
Part 3: Facing your fear
We all have fears; some silly, some rather sensible. Healthy fears help us to respect our limits, but some fears cripple us and stop us from living full and healthy lives. Completing the Challenge always involves facing your fears. In this talk, Nick asks, Is there a fear holding you back from the challenge which God has given you? And will you choose to face it?
|
Part 4: Perseverance
During your Challenge you're going to face troubles and setbacks. Things will come along which will try to push you off-course and prevent you from completing your challenge. In this final talk, Nick and Nathan unpack how to push through the trials with determination. The answer follows this question: what are you living for?

Part 5: Our Challenge
This week we investigate the challenges facing us as Coventry Vineyard. We want to be a church that impacts our city, but that requires a gear change. Listen below to find out how we're planning to grow this year and take on Jesus' challenge to be a life-changing community.

Previous talks from 2013...
Church is first and foremost a gathering of people with a purpose. Church is a community. At Coventry Vineyard, we want to be real people living real life. We want to understand what it means to belong to one another, and be devoted to one another in love. (Romans 12:10).

The "Sermon on the Mount" is Jesus' manifesto of what 'real' life should be and how His followers should live life in the reality of His Kingdom.
Join us as we uncover and seek to put into practice the most challenging words ever spoken. |
The followers of Jesus asked him to teach them to do just one thing. To pray. They saw something different in his prayer life. What can we learn from this prayer that he taught his followers...
|
We all value good character. In others. As followers of Jesus our character should be changing. We want our character to reflect His character.
This series is not about making you a little bit better, it's about transformation, it's about how to become more like Jesus and reflect God's character to others. |
