Join us at Foleshill Community Centre, CV6 5HS for these Christmas gatherings across December.
In Luke's gospel we find angels telling shepherds to seek out a baby, who would be saviour of the entire world... "good news that will cause great joy for all the people." How do we join in with the joy that God has unleashed on the world? A joy that mountains, rivers and oceans join in with. A joy where truth and grace get the final say as the kingdom of God is hearts are turned to the wonders of love that God has for all people.
Doors open at 5:30pm for a 6pm start.
We will finish around 8pm, with Twisted Barrel staying open a little later.
Sign up HERE for tickets - £3 per adult, children free.
All proceeds are donated to two charities:
UHCW Neonatal Unit for premature babies
"Justice & Joy" - a charity supporting Afghan refugees (£44 feeds a family for 4-6 weeks)

Advent
Advent comes from the latin adventus, meaning coming or arrival. It's also where we get the word Adventure. It is the four-week season of preparation for the coming of Jesus at Christmas. A good celebration always needs proper preparation. During December we often confuse this readiness with a ridiculous and stressful race into Christmas with excessive shopping and excessive eating.
Advent also taps into a sense we have that all is not well. A longing for the world to be made right again. That’s the theme of so many Christmas songs. Advent is the longing for someday things to be different. Things will change. Things have to change. It’s a season for restless hearts and people weary of a broken world who want, with all our being, to know there’s more than this. It is a time for hope. We hope for restoration. We hope for the renewal of all things. |
This season, why not journey with us as a church as we slow down, pray and seek peace in our own lives and in the world around us. We will use the Bible Reading Plan below, where you can do a daily reading with friends and family.
